how do you indicate a die-cut mark in illustrator? how about perforation?
how do i do this in illustrator? im using CS2
somebody told me you have to make it set in 'over-print' . What does this mean?
When you die cut, the best way is to take the dimensions of your artwork exactly.
Then set crop marks at each corner to reflect the exact size of your picture. If the picture has to cover the full page without any border whatsoever, then extend the pic 1/8" past your crop marks. Do this for the 4 sides but do not disturb the original crop mark.
The printer will cut into the image according to the crop marks. You do ot have to make a dye. If their is one to make, let the printer do it for you . He will look at your crop mark and will know exactly what to do.
