I need a hard-drying filler material?
I am trying to fill a fewvpretty sizable gaps (about 1x12 inches) in a wooden skateboard ramp. I am looking for a filler material that is soft enough at first to fill the crack perfectly, and then dries hard enough to take someone skateboarding on it. I was thinking about using spackle, but I think that it might crumble when dried and skateboarded on. Fiberglass was another option, but that can get expensive really fast. Does anyone know of a material that might work? I thought there might be a hardening substance that I can dip rags or something into and fill the cracks and it will harden? Or, just a putty or something that will dry really hard?
Thanks
I agree with the other guy about the bondo, but in my opinion you could just use regular bondo- it will cost less and probably work just as well. You could also purchase a box of floor leveler at your local home depot- it's a fine powdered concrete- no large chunks in it. That would fill it in pretty well too.
