For a grassroots non-profit organization, how often do they really have board member meetings?
Also, how often are you "required" to hold board meetings? How many board meetings are you "required" to hold, let's say, within a year?
ok. But suppose the board members are scattered across the country. How could you convene a board meeting if you are a grassroots organization and funding is very scarce?
The law usually requires only one board meeting per year.
Good business practice varies depending on the type of organization.
Most meet every month, but it should be no longer than 3 months.
EDIT - You don't have to meet in person. There are many ways to meet online. There are websites that will help you set up a web meeting for an affordable fee.
There are probably ways to set up a private chat room.
You don't have to be in the same physical place.
