How can I take the Metro from Downey to Santa Monica College?
I'm coming from the Downey Metro Station, I want to try taking public transportation all the way to Santa Monica College. What lines and buses do I need to take? (I'm a student at SMC btw so the Big Blue Bus will be my friend this semester).
if you are near(Green line) Lakewood station you can take the Green line to the Aviation station
and you would board either the Rapid or Local #3 bus take this
bus to Pico and Lincoln and then transfer to the Line

now if you have a SMC ID card with a current asb sticker you can ride
the Santa Monica Big blue bus for free
all you would pay is the fare on the Green line $1.25)
and for the return trip (back to downey ) when you get on the #3
show your ID and ask the Blue bus driver for a metro transfer
so you wont have to pay on the Green line for the return trip
